This fender does not have a real brake light. It is basically a run light that does not get any brighter when the brake is pressed/squeezed. Since I do not run turn signals I had to wire up the turn signals to light up when I depressed the brake. This is the same fender without the brake light just with a LED strip added so if you want to be creative add your own brake light. This fender does server the purpose for which it was purchased, to accommodate the 240 rear tire. The 3 - Good rating is only due to the brake light and cost of the part. Had the brake light worked as designed and the part cost $100 less it would have gotten a 5 rating.
